Hi all. After much reading online, I can't find much on this.
I noticed a distinct but random on off throttle response a while back which is unusual in these engines. I had to get used to no engine braking and when it suddenly and randomly started noticeably decelerating with a jerk, I thought it was odd. Then the idle started fluttering up and down, again, randomly. The next thing that happened was, after driving it hard (My normal commute is 2.5 miles each way so sometimes I take it out and rag it to compensate) the engine suddenly lost power, stuttering power to no power and my engine warning and service light came on. I pulled over, switched off for a few minutes and then restarted. It drove normally but with reduced power. I took it in to my local garage who replaced the knock sensor saying I had codes P1032 and P1033 flag up. They also said that as soon as I drive it, the engine light will come back on and I should take it to Peugeot for the safety recall JZR which would fix it.
I did, and asked them to investigate the fault. They said when they did the software update it wiped the codes so they couldn't investigate. As soon as I drove away the engine light came on again and reduced power. I took it to my local garage and a huge amount of faults were logged. They cleared them and I drove it again, almost immediately the light came back on. There are two incidents of code P0326 logged. Knock sensor / Circuit Range / Performance Bank or Single Sensor.
My local garage who replaced the knock sensor is telling me to take it back to Peugeot. Peugeot is saying the software update can't have caused this.
Peugeot want £138 to investigate it and my garage who replaced the knock sensor say it's working fine.
What is going on with my car? It's only done 34k!
