2017 Hyundai i10 - Passenger Airbag switch location - Robin the Technician

Hi, my daughter has a new baby and wants to take her out in her car. Unfortunately the handbook was missing from the car when she bought it so she doesn't know how to deactivate the passenger Airbag. Anyone out there tell me where the switch is.

Not sure on this model , but usually in the glove box , or at the end of the dashboard, access when passenger front door open .

You could always ash a hyundai dealer or..Google is your frien..

It is a switch using the ignition key.

As stated earlier 10 secs on Google says it’s at the end of the dash, only accessible when the door is open. I wonder what sort of technician “Robin” is…….

I thought the general advice was that it is safer to place the baby on a rear seat rather than the front.

I wonder what sort of technician “Robin” is…….

FYI I am a qualified vehicle technician on both cars and commercial vehicles for over 40 years. My specialism is/was Rover vehicles and worked for them as a technical specialist travelling abroad to fix vehicles the overseas dealers couldn't. I am now retired. My Daughter asked me to find out how to turn off the airbag..... She does not live near me, hence I asked on here!!!
