Hyundai i30 - Windscreen crack - Radoslav Bozhinov

Hi, on the one these intercity roads something hit my windscreen at about 70 .ph. Here's the crack .ibb.co/Jt9wpd7

I think it is in the the zone B. The circle whole is smaller than 40m but some of the cracks can be measured to 50mm. Do you think it might pass MOT?

The best way to find out is to call at a test station and ask. By the look of it I don't think it should, and any cracks will likely spread. A penalty-free insurance claim which should cost you about £100 by a visiting repairer.

I would say this is not a fail . It’s well out of zone A . Windscreen check is due to change this year , with the “zone “ assessment being replaced by a vision impairment check . Basically if there is an acceptable clear view forward across the bonnet and upwards towards the sky , then it’s a pass .
