Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI 2017 - What is a injection pump cassette - bazza1603

Hi,

Can anyone let me know what this is? The gasket has failed at 4.5 years old and 42000.

What will it be leaking - engine oil or diesel oil?

Trying to work out if I can fight the Ford rejected warranty claim or not!

I’m guessing they are referring to the hi pressure diesel pump . So it could be leaking engine oil , diesel fuel or both . Unusual for these to leak . I’ve seen these engines do well over 100k miles with no issue of leaking.
