Mazda 2 - Perforated Sticker - Jenny Woollett

Hello,

I'm just hoping someone will be able to shed some light on whether perforated sticker's are allowed on a cars rear window. I have my MOT coming up soon and don't want to get a failure because of a promotional sticker that I have recently put on my car (My MOT before this, I got a recomendation on a car freshener hanging from my rear view mirror which I no longer have). I am reading alot about certain areas on your front windscreen where you can't have any stickers/sat navs etc but I can't find any info on rear windows.

Hope this isn't a silly question.

Thanks in advance :)

No problem having anything on the rear window as long as the sticker does not obstruct any lights . Some cars have the hi level rear brake light attached to the glass .

The MoT test only seems to worry about obstructions or damage to the windscreen. It's apparently OK to reduce the transmission of the side windows by darkened glass. But the stylists have spent the last 20 years reducing the rearward glass area on most cars, so stickers or the like won't help there.

Personally I would just avoid putting them over any demisting elements in the rear window, or in the direct line of your r-v-m.

It's not a requirement to have ANY windows behind the driver, eg vans - so there should be no issue.
