Zafira 1.8 2002 Petrol - Zafira 1.8 auto 2002 cuts out but catches again - R.Turpin

Drive along and suddenly the power disappears and it just idles smoothly unless I release the accelerator momentarily and then it's fine again. Intermittent fault, sometimes only happens after 1/2 hour driving. Sometimes several times. No dash lights on and my garage says there are no fault codes. I'm guessing the throttle body potentiometer ???

Has anyone got any idea. The car has been utterly reliable till now.

Any suggestions appreciated.

These old Zafira A models are pretty reliable . I would be checking connectors to the throttle pedal, throttle body and engine ecu . (Bolted to the engine on these) .
