Toyota Aygo 2012 - Toyota Aygo Indicator problem - monkeyboy3

Hi

I have a Toyota Aygo 2012 fire.

The right Indicator works fine.

The left Indicator only works if you hold the leaver up.

The hazard button also doesn't work unless you hold it half in.

Problem has just started any ideas where to start? I tried the fuse as first port of call and all ok.

Yes, common problem. New indicator/stalk switch needed.

Got the left and right mixed up but doubt that will change things, would the hazard also tie in with a new indicator/stalk switch?

How straight forward a job is this for someone to do themselves?

All faults tie in with indicator stalk . It’s not a difficult job , but the airbag and steering wheel need to be removed . The switch fits over the steering column shaft and is secured by a large spring clip .

So get it done by someone who knows how to deactivate the airbag.

Get a quote first as it needs to be done properly.

Realistically, this is only a 1-1.5 hour job , so not too expensive .
