2011 Vauxhall Zafira 1.7 ecoflex - 2011 Vauxhall Zafira 1.7 ecoflex P0683 Error code - Gordon the golfer

hi. i get this spanner light and code P0683 on cold starts but then if i switch the engine off and on after a munite the spanner light goes off.

exact message i got on my diagnostic is P0683 Glowplug Control Circuit, General Error, Intermittent

please help.. thanks

I would get the glow plugs tested . Very likely to be one or more faulty.

im scared of snapping them. heard horror stories of seized plugs

I would agree , leave them alone. Although they can be tested in situ without removal .

Pull the plugs off the glow plugs and check the resistance of each one with a multimeter. Expect a reading of around 1.5 ohms. If any are less than that, or considerably more then a fault code is likely to be generated.
