2007 Honda crv ex I-ctdI - recommended engine oil - baz1

just need to know what is the correct oil used in this engine as only had the vehicle a couple of weeks and need to change oil and filter as not sure when last it was serviced.

C2/C3 5W-30 Fully Synthetic 5 litres

Best to use an original honda oil filter and you will need a multi point wrench to remove the filter cap - it's an element filter not a canister.

this engine does not have DPF as far as i'm aware does the same oil still apply?

C2/C3 is a bit of overkill on a non-dpf engine, if you can find an A3/B4 oil it will be marginally cheaper, as in the handbook.
