I have a Volvo V70 and for no apparent reason the front and arm rest cigarette lighter sockets have stopped working. There is a Dash Cam plugged in and a spare lead for the sat Nav when required. The Boot one works fine as it is a live feed all the time. This I know because the cool box stays on with the engine off.
So far have checked out all the fuses I can find on the car.
Just now I wanted to see if it was easy to remove the front lighter socket by placing my finger in to see if it would pull out; A tone sound was coming from the front driver side door speaker each time I put pressure on the wall of the lighter socket with the ignition off and the key out of the ignition.
I have now put polystyrene tiles on the garage wall so my head doesn't hurt so much when I bang it.
Can anyone shed some light on this fault please it has been fine for the past 13 years I have owned the car.
Any assistance on the above would be very much appreciated, fingers crossed.
