Hopefully someone can help. My I800 (its rear wheel drive) squeaks from the offside front wheel when I turn right. It happens at any speed upto around 40mph. As soon as any steering input to go even slightly right is applied, it's there. It even does it when parking it!

I've tried putting the brakes on at the same time as when its squeeking and it doesnt stop it - it also passed its mot 2 weeks ago so I doubt it's the pads sticking. The squeek gets faster the more to the right I go.

It is kicking the ABS in at very low speeds and very light brake pressure, but there is no warning light. I am told it might have a rusty ring.

Any ideas? This car has driven me a bit nuts with the amojn I've had spend on it in the last year. Thanks all.

Apologies for any mistakes in the words....my phone keyboard is rather small!

I would isolate the abs system by either pulling a fuse or disconnect one of the wheel speed sensors. This will ascertain whether it’s an abs fault or something else .

i would spray or red rubber grease top suspension mount . and support cup

I'm no great expert on cars but I would say the wheel bearing is worn or loose allowing the rotating parts to move a bit under cornering forCe.

Thanks all, I'm going to jack it up tomorrow and see if there is any play in it or a rough spot, though I'd have thought wheel bearing issues would have been picked up at the mot.

If it's ok I'll pull the abs sensor out and clean it and see if the ring is rusty.

Am really not wanting to pay any more on it as it's not been cheap, though we seem to have sorted most issues now (including a courier who destroyed the propshaft on it's way for new UJs.....long story).

Jacked it up, it's a heavy vehicle this one! Found that the abs ring was touching the sensor at one point on the rotation hence the squeek... wheel bearing seems fine, no play or roughness.

Cleaned the ring up as best as I can and put a dab of wd40 on the ring. Bit of cleaning later and the squeek has gone. Abs seems to be behaving a bit better too.

I guess it's a new ring if it doesn't cure it fully.
