4WD converted to 2WD - MOT pass or fail? - Sulphur Man

Hi,

Question - if a factory 4WD car is made FWD by removal of the propshaft, for whatever reason (failed transfer box/economy etc) does that constitute an MOT failure?

I've researched it but am struggling to get a conclusive answer.... any help much appreciated.

If the prop has been removed safely with no other parts moving around to cause a problem, then it’s not a fail .

Thanks. I daringly dipped into the detailed Gov MOT guidance and it seems that a working drivetrain and transmission, free of any play and not causing alerts on the dashboard, is not a fail.
