Ford mondeo 2015 eco - Can someone tell me what part this is please? - Mase88

Car went into limp mode on way home from barracks, opened the bonnet to check the maf sensor as the OBD said the fault was maf sensor too high, and noticed the split in the side of the pipe, can anyone tell me what the pipe is called?

It’s an air intake pipe into the engine . If you take it off , you may find the Ford part number printed on it .

From your description I'd call it duct tape.

I once replaced a broken plastic brake servo connector on my Sierra with a bit of a Japanese ball point pen.

I had more confidence in the Japanese pen than I would have had in the original Ford part.
