Between 2015-2019 I had a Nissan Juke with the 1.5 engine + DPF, which was replaced last year with a Qashaqi with same engine. The Juke went back to the leasco at 78k miles, the Qashqai has done 10.5k in just under a year.
So in 88k miles of use with the 1.5 engine, 90% has been trips of 20 to 300 miles on fast A roads or motorways, I have (a) never noticed when the regen was taking place, and (b) in that time, (probably due to my driving style) never had a single problem with the DPF whatsoever. Given the scare stores on HJ of DPF issues, I have been very pleasantly surprised on how trouble free both cars have been.
In fairness both cars have been run by me from new, but you wont know the driving style of a used car necessarily or how clogged the filter might be.
The only difference between the two cars engine wise is the Qashqai has an Ad Blue setup, but that's been topped up just once in 10k miles.
There has been favourable opinion for this Renault engine, now I believe in its 6th iteration and probably quite rightly too as this K type engine is widely used by Renault/Nissan/Dacia and in Merc A class too.
Certainly seems less troublesome on regens/oil dilution issues than a British built premium brand.
