Skoda Fabia Ambiente 1.4 TDI - 2010 Fabia side and rear tail lights not working - Reiland

Hi. My Skoda Fabia side lights and tail lights are not working. Invest carried out so far: Bulbs check - ok. Fuse check - ok. Temporarily installed a known serviciable light switch - fault still apparent. I noticed that the parking lights do not work when the indicator stalk is operated however the lights 'on chime sounds when the parking and or side lights are selected.

Any thoughts or should I ring for a priest?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes?

Update: I disconnected the battery for approx 30mins. The fault is still apparent. Does this suggest that the problem may be with the Electronic Body Control Module? If so, where is it located and can I test its output to positively confirm that it is faulted?

Not so simple , I’m afraid. Without any diagnostic equipment , there’s not much you can do yourself. The Bcm sits under the dash , driver side . I would suggest check the multi pin connectors to it , make sure nothing adrift. Beyond this , take it to a workshop.

I'll take a look but I suspect I won't find anything conclusive. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and take into the garage. Thank you for all of your advice
