hi all, we have a 06 vectra and for the past year its been in and out ofmy garage with the engine light and spanner symbol coming on, when it does car goes into limp mode and wont speed up. Weve paid lots of money for the sensor in the exhaust and even had another one fittedunder parts warranty, theyve cleaned it and even suggested a dearer diesel to try in it. What else could it be please

On a Vectra of that age it could be a number of things that were common, from failed swirl pots to failed DPF - the ONLY way is to get a full diagnosis done by reading ALL the error codes with a proper reader, not a cheap code reader.

The Vectra c model with the Fiat 1.9 Diesel engine is a total money pit . You will never get a complete resolve to the ongoing problems . I would suggest you spend no more money on it , move it on , buy something more durable.
