Good evening

Got a fault code for my boost pressure sensor

Other forums / media are saying it's the MAP sensor but that doesn't sound right (besides that's clean and has a different code etc)

Would it be near the turbo or is it on the charge pipe near the throttle body?

Thanks,

Should be in the charge pipe between the turbo and the inlet manifold . Look down side of engine , left side . Remember, just because it’s flagged a boost pressure fault code, doesn’t mean the sensor is faulty.

Is it the one on the pipe just before the throttle body?

That looks like the one . If you clear the fault codes , then disconnect the sensor to see if that verifies this is the correct part . As I said before, just because it’s flagged a boost sensor fault , doesn’t necessarily mean that part is the problem.

How is the ECM supposed to know the difference between a faulty sensor reporting low boost pressure or a good sensor reporting actual low boost pressure? Answer, it can't. You need to do some proper diagnosis otherwise you'll be chucking parts at it and costing yourself a fortune. The first thing you need to be sure of is whether or not boost pressure is normal. You could have a worn turbo or an air intake leak.
