Renault kangoo 2005 - Removing disability ramp from renault kangoo - KCSRenault

Hello,

My late grandfathers reanult kangoo has been sat in the garage since his demise, which is fully fitted with a mobility ramp which takes up all the room in the back. This makes it totally useless for any kind of loading whatsoever.

One of the family members has enquired about having it for a van, for their local business. Is it going to be a massive job to remove it?

What would likely have been done in the first place to allow such an adaption to the body?

Any input much appreciated.

thanks

I guess the floor has been lowered for easy access, in which case the rear bumper and tailgate will have been modified . Also a different fuel tank would have been fitted to allow for the lower floor . Can’t see any problem removing the ramp . Are there any remote controls for this and a winch? I think the load floor will need to be re adapted to make it useful as a van . Does it have disabled controls on the steering wheel? If you do convert back to a van , don’t forget to inform the Dvla , as the ved will probably be different.
