I've had mixed results from Peugeot too.
Cheshire glass palace showroom - too posh for an actual parts department, and they looked down on me for having the audacity to buy parts and fit them myself. I'm sure their customers must have "a man" to do those things from them. And wouldn't sell me an individual dash bulb, I must buy the entire box.
But the parts department at dealers in Liverpool or on the Wirral have been brilliant. AND they let me buy individual bulbs!
I'd recommend signing up for Peugeot Servicebox online. Its free and gives you access to parts diagrams and numbers. Then just give the dealer a call or email and ask them to get you a part.
The good thing I've noticed is that the ones round me do this without wanting money up front.
There's also a great Peugeot Citroen dealer near Chorley who sells parts on Ebay. His service is outstanding.
