Mitsubishi shogun 3.2 2007 - Gearbox - Kevin lynch

Guys, today my shogun flashed both N and D in the dash and now when I select gear it doesnt move, the engine revs and that's it, any ideas?

Could be as simple as a selector issue or perhaps it’s needing a fluid change/top up but I’d look up local gearbox specialists and get it recovered to them. Letting a Joe Blogs mechanic loose on it will more than likely just run up a bill based on best guesses rather than properly diagnosing it.
