SomnicFernas - Where is an aftermarket remote starter control box - lerein marteina

Hello,

Just bought myself a used car (a 2006 Kia Rio) and I just went to the store when it was dark out an noticed a blinking blue light by the rear view mirror, and it turns out to be an antenna for an aftermarket remote start/security system. The only thing written on the antenna is "SH 433-101" which is the part number for the antenna made by Autostart. The guy I bought it from never mentioned there was a remote starter and I didn't get any kind of key fob with the car, but it would be nice if I can try and get it to work.

SH 433-101 seems to be the model of the antenna, not the control box itself, so I was wondering where the control box would likely be located so I can find it an get a model number to try and find a new remote for it.

Why don't Honest Johns web site people do something about these spammers once and for all. The site will not let me mention Sc***horpe but they can smam all day long.

HJ's IT guru doesn't need to do anything, these half wit spammers don't realise what a bunch of curmudgeons we are here, whatever they might be trying to flog if we could be bothered to click the links they provide it would only be to note the seller or service provider and make sure they never saw a penny of our hard earned as long as we live.

Let them continue to shoot themselves in both feet, it's wasting their time and mildly amusing watching their toes vanish into red mulch, it takes Avant seconds to sweep the mess away with a click of his mouse.
