50 years ago the tanker was filled - the driver moved off to the side then added a few gallons of additive from a container. Today, it is computer controlled & metered quantity per load.
Shell V-Power comes up the west coast by mini oil tanker which docks in Clydebank(10 miles from Glasgow) - a specific formulation made in the Indian owned Ellesmere refinery that was formerly Shell Stanlow Refinery. So V-Power is different from "normal petrol" - it is not just additives.
