An excellent price even its common or garden standard Diesel fuel, sadly i have no Costco card (not sure if you need one to buy their fuel) and no Costco within my normal own car travels either.

Isn't Costco fuel supplied by the same people who supply Tesco? If so then wouldn't their premier petrol be like momentum 99?

Once you get used to using their system of reading the Costco card and then the paying card before the pump will work then you will not want to go back to petrol statation where you have to walk to the shop to que up to pay. The Costco sysyem is faster and many feel safer. There is nothing for sale other than what comes out of the pump, It would be nice to have air available.

I can well believe it. A tanker driver for BP once told me the only difference is in the additives which are put in at the last minute and which vary from brand to brand.

So there is a difference between brands, but whether there is a meaningful or significant difference is debatable.

Of course there is a difference.

Additives are added when delivering tthe fuel.

The additive mix varies between premium and cheap fuel and brand.

Shell V-Power comes up the west coast by mini oil tanker which docks in Clydebank(10 miles from Glasgow) - a specific formulation made in the Indian owned Ellesmere refinery that was formerly Shell Stanlow Refinery. So V-Power is different from "normal petrol" - it is not just additives.

Thats my understanding as well FB, I have seen the boats and the storage tanks and the only tankers I have see in the depot were in Shell colours. I have also been told that Shell do not add any ethanol to V-Power, instead they add their own substitute made from natural gas that does not cause the problems that ethanol does.
