KIA Venga - Slight clicking on front driver's side - Spatacus

Hello,

Am after a bit of advise,am getting a slight clicking sound from the front of my driver's side whenever i accelerate, its quiet noticeable when am on the motorway, its tends to happen for a minute and goes away.

My mechanic recommended i change the wheel bearing which i did but the problem still exist,it just comes and goes.

Any advise would help as am reluctant to spend unnecessary money at my mechanics'.

Cheers

Try repacking all the CV joints with fresh correct grease, no need to disassemble, simply cut the clip peel back the cover repack and fit a new securing clip.

I tend to snip the small end of the boot and using a narrow adaptor on a grease gun to pack the grease in that way, less likely for any seepage at the narrow end also less chance of any dirt entering the joint.

Whilst its usually the outer joints that wear, the inners sometimes can too.

Assuming at this time that the brakes are free and serviced, but if you're removing the wheels anyway, it would only take a few minutes to strip clean and relube the caliper pistons/sliders with the correct brake grease...not coppaslip.

I get a Tutting noise from the left seat if I do anything that is potentially wrong.!
