Ford modeo - New car and taxing it with a v5C/2 thats says its invalid - Stefan grindrod

I have just bought a 03 plate mondeo and I can't tax it using the online service and using my v5c2 new keepers slip because it's saying the numbee is invalid can anyone help I need this car sorting asap to get to work and back and my wife to hospital

Presumably bought privately (or backstreet dealer, possibly posing as private seller).

In either case your first action should be to go and ask him/her for an explanation.

DVLA might help but could take a few days for a reply.
