Just parted with a Hyundai Santa Fe Premium SE, 2012 vintage, 70+K and owned from new. Clearing out the file I couldn't resist a tally-up.
The all-in costs for service, repairs (brake pads & discs at 60K), tyres (a set of Michelins at 41K) and depreciation have been £257 per month of ownership. Could have been worse. Had a good dealer too.
Great car, used for towing and you could drive all day and still get out at the end able to move (I'm not in the first flush of youth let's say!).
That's similar with my 2011 Santa Fe Premium 7-seat - brake pads were still at 50% at 50,000 miles - original Kumho tyres lasted only 30,000 - good dealer in Birmingham.
I'd have kept it out of warranty but lost faith after an engine rebuild at 34,000 miles - checking it's recent MoT history, it's now done 120,000 so someone got a good deal.
