I noticed that it has a small puddle of oil under it some times and the oil is very low in it. ..... I will be needing my car next month and I can’t afford to get a new one.
If you "can't afford to get a new one", then clearly you shouldn't allow the oil to get ""very low in it"
Topping up the oil is not really much more technical than putting fuel in the tank, and I assume you manage that OK.
Changing the oil is a bit more involved, but you don't have to do that (or have it done) very often if you don't short-trip (taking it around the neighbourhood a little sounds like short-tripping), and even less often if you have a significant oil leak, since you'll be topping up with fresh oil regularly.
