IF it has a full on time renault service history?

IF It is still in warranty and the owner can extend it 2 years (at your expense) before you buy?

That is the $64.000 question...

3 year old Renault diesel out of warranty , don’t go near it.

Actually these are ok. It uses a tried and tested engine that’s perfectly capable of 200k plus if looked after properly. Premature timing belt failure is quite common so get it done before it’s recommend but otherwise it’s just the usual flimsy trim and occasional electrical glitch you expect from French motors.

If it has a full Renault history, it’s a nice example and the price is right then there’s no reason not to buy it if you like it. It does have a DPF so it’ll need a regular longer run to regen but these wee engines are clean running wee things which rarely suffer problems here again if cared for properly.

Once again many thanks to everyone who contributed. Not keen on the almond colour either

so i'll give it a miss.

The air con has failed on my A4 B6 1.9 tdi so the need to change intensifies during hot weather. The Hella system used on VW Audi self destructs and the repairs for a new compressor outweigh the value of the car unfortunately.
