Peugeot 307 SW - 2005 Peugeot 307 1.6hdi Engine issues - Benjamin fordyce

Hey,

Ive recently purchased a 307 1.6hdi, from what I've read they're not too bad a car, however the engine light is currently on. I've had the codes read and it comes up with the following:

P0405 - Electronic EGV valve position copy signal/signal volaage too low

P1728 - Engine Torque Engine Torque sent on the too low

P1351 - Preheating relay circuit relay supplied and never supplied

P0299 - Turbo pressure regulation Turbo pressure measured too low

P0483 - Cooling function incorporated into ECU fault. Consistency between fan speed and setting.

I have replaced the air filter and the rocker cover gasket so far as the air filter didn't look although it had been replaced for ages and there was a leak from the rocker cover.

Any assistance with the above errors would be greatly appreciated, the car has had a turbo fitted within the last 2 years.

All well documented faults. Just put the P code into Peugeotforums.com search box.

Middle two are glow plugs and probably turbo repeat sensor. Bottom one could be a fault in the wiring loom to the fan. If that's not working, and the glow plugs aren't either then the car will struggle to regenerate to clean the DPF.

The new turbo is giving off alarm bells though - especially as you mention its a 1.6 diesel and double especially if you said the air filter hasn't been changed for ages.

These engines are notorious for failure through neglect.
