toyota yaris - tailgate replacement - kerbed enthusiasm

I need to replace the tailgate on an 06 5dr Yaris. I can find the right colour in a 3dr. They appear to be identical but does anyone know if they are compatible?

Ask a Toyota dealer if the part # are the same.

I did; they aren't. However, the Toyota breakers I contacted said they're interchangeable. I have no idea whether the replacement came from a 3 or 5dr but it certainly fitted. Thank you for replying.
