Knock for Knock?? - desmrics

Hi

Travelling to work this morning I was approaching a tight corner and could see a car approaching from the opposite direction leaning hard and hard across on my side of the road. I tried to move to the left but the wing mirrors contacted and my swung back and has smashed my drivers window. Glass everywhere and I have some very superficial cuts.

Other driver stopped ok but is simply saying that it was a tight corner and denying that he was over my side.

He is a company car driver and we exchanged details. I suspect he will advise his insurance as it is little odds to him.

Does anyone have any advice for me in this situation. I presume I need to advise my insurance company. I'd rather just accept that fault will never be established and pay to get my own fixed but presume that there could be problems if I don't contact my insurance?

You have a responsibility to inform your insurance, whether or not you make a claim.

Your situation seems yet another example of the need for a dashcam to establish who's at fault.

Coincidentally my son had said to me last week that he didn't understand why I didn't have a dash cam. The youth are teaching their elders now. He was right. Would have paid for itself.

Must go and close that stable door ....
