" Britain is probably the most corrupt country in the World that naively thinks it isn't."

Evidence please or stop making ridiculous comments.
Honest John's Motoring Agony Column 01-09-2018 Part 1 - Hugh Watt

Essentially this is HJ's own (very useful) website, and he tends to be as cranky, er, opinionated as he likes. Just don't query left-foot braking...

Erm, evidence? Are you playing at being dumb, doi209? Or does it come naturally?

Those without that simplistic, blinkered mindset should look to Britain's history of Empire. In particular, the City of London, its offshore finance centres, the funny-money flooding in from Organised Crime across the globe. A history of corruption dating back to the British East India Company,, and beyond that. Today, the international drug trade is effectively headquartered in London. Illicit dope cash washed by the trillions through the Crown dependencies, legitimised in the Square Mile, and then ploughed into "squeaky clean" investments by the overlords of crime, many of them Eton and Oxbridge.

It's that which makes Britian the most crooked nation on earth. Even stooge outfit Transparency International acknowledges as much. Go see what mafia expert, Roberto Saviano had to say about Britain, and her place in the International Corruption Index. Listen to Antonio Maria Costa, ex-head of the UN Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Then go read the exposés from Executive Intelligence Review on International Crime, and London's centuries of control of it.

But you knew all that already, didn't you, doi209? You were just playing dumb?

Regarding 'Sign of the Times', I think Suffolk is one of the areas that issue speed cameras to 'community groups' to police their areas, aka Community Speed Watch (CWS). Parish Councils also buy their own hand held speed cameras.
