You said EU plans - not Irish threats. The Irish PM is not the EU and they have to abide what is decided by the EU. At the end of the day the EU will want some kind of deal in place as much as the UK needs something in place beofore Brexit.

Give me a break will you - the Irish PM said what he did because HE WAS TOLD TO by the EU negotiators/Commission. They wanted force us (May) to back down and accept the unacceptioble and thoroughly unreasonable/unwaorkable backstop and a border down the Irish Sea or to keep Northern Ireland part of the EU and not defact in the UK. They want to bully us into changing our minds, as they did to:

The Danes

The Dutch

The French

The Irish

...when they threatened 'The Project' with votes to Leave/Hold up or vote down the Euro et etc in the past. Its naive for you to think anything otherwise.
