Anyone else heard Vauxhall’s are recalling a batch of Crossland models due to high risk of major engine failure and giving customers brand new replacement cars?

Must be a major issue if they are going to that expense.

Does anyone have more details?

A bit of googling suggests it's probaby to do with oil getting into the combustion circuit:

Is the 1.6L B16DTH (LDI) motor a PSA unit or does it derive from GM's range?
