Ford Powershift - Is this right - skidpan

Just been looking on the Note Forum and picked up on a post about gearboxes.

To quote one poster

"They don't suffer fools gladly on the Kuga forum - there are some really good people there. When one guy asked what oil he needed for his Powershift dual clutch box he was told in no uncertain terms to RTFM as the Powershift is, unlike the VAG system, dry and simply runs two conventional clutches die-by-side."

Can this be true. I know that VAG produce a wet clutch as well as dry clutch DSG box but to suggest the box runs dry is surely not correct.

I suspect they really mean its a supposedly non-interference unit not designed to ever have the fluid changed. Shame the design, like VAG's dry clutch, seemingly wasn't up to the job of working that reliably way long term.
