I just wondered if i could get a bit of advice regarding my 2013 VW petrol polo.
A few days ago the engine management warning light came up and I took the car in for diagnostics at Halfords.
The results came back as both oxygen sensors needing replacing and I was quoted £300 to replace them. They said they'd tried cleaning them but they still needed replacing. I said i'd consider and get back to them after looking around for other quotes.
After picking up the car today the warning light is no longer showing and hasn't done since.
The car doesn't have any other problems and I had no concerns bar the warning light.
So, my questions are:
1. Now that the warning light is no longer showing does this indicate the problem has been rectified and that Halfords are trying it on? Or is it just a case of the light being reset?
2. Is £300 for replacing both oxygen sensors a reasonable quote
Thanks very much for any advice you can give!
