MAZDA 3 1.6 PETROL 2010 TS2 - abs LIGHT - Beri

The light first came on 6 months ago. At first it was intermittent but eventual stayed on permanently.

My local garage checked all the wires and found no fault.

They then sent the ECU away for examination and they could find no fasult.

When the ECU was refitted the light remained off for approx five days but is back on again.

There was a recent 24 hour period when it did not come on.

The garage has tested the car and the ABS is working correctly except for the light indicating otherwise.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards Bernard

There are reports of similar issues where there are high ambient temperatures. The fault can be the Abs control unit. It is unlikely any bench test would find a fault like this. I would contact a Mazda dealer to see if there are any factory Tsbs on this problem. Also may be a good idea to check that you have the correct tyre size fitted to each wheel.

Thanks for the prompt feedback.

Would you please clarify what you mean by factory Tsbs.

I can confirm the correct tyre size is fitted to each wheel.

" My local garage checked all the wires and found no fault. "

Have they actually plugged in a diagnostic cable to see which codes are being logged.

If they havn't got the nescessary equipment you may have to take it to a specialist diagnostics centre.
