Mercedes c220 cdi 2005 - Oil explosion over engine bay - Ash61520
Morning guys.

Car went into limp mode this morning, so when i got home i checked in around the engine for any noticeable faults, found an oil explosion all over an injector and covering around 8inchs around the engine bay. Some dry oil and some still wet. Car was last serviced 3k ago. Any ideas?

I'd start the engine and see where the stuff's coming from.

Injector seals leaking ,or split diesel supply or spill pipes.If it is the seals,then this allows combustion gases to congeal around the injector to create a mass of black gunge.
