Vw Bora - Car not picking up speed on hill - Gaz9890

Hi my 2001 VW Bora 1.9TDI has recently been very sluggish and has not been picking up speed as it used to. In 1st 2nd and 3rd gear it seems to pick up speed fine but then there is not much response once it goes in to 4th gear. Especially going up a hill it really struggles. I dont know wether its the turbo or that the vaccum hose could be clogged up. Please advise.

Difficult to tell sitting behind a computer. You need a mechanic experienced in these engines. We had a TDi that intermittently refused to accelerate but it was the same in all gears and was a crimped vacuum hose, mechanic spotted it, rerouted hose and no more issues for the next 6 year/60,000 miles.

I have been told that it could be the vaccum hose or the pressure sensor, I have the car booked in on wednesday at the garage so hopefullyit will be resolved soon.
