Toyota RAV4 - Radio Code - chesterfieldhouse

We bought (private) a 2005 RAV 4 a month or so ago & very pleased with it. The previous owner had it from new & all the booklets/paperwork & receipts for maintenence were given to me. As my son gave me a Haynes manual for Christmas, it states within this that removing the battery will lead to losing the radio code. There's nothing within the hand book that states this & l can't find any recorded radio code in the documentation.There is a receipt for a new battery in 2013, so it will be coming to the end of its life.

Any RAV 4 owners who would know where to locate the code? Failing this are these memory savers any good?

Memory savers - through the cigarette lighter - worked very well when I used one - several years ago...

Don’t think the radio is coded on these.If you want a memory saver,get one that plugs into the 16 pin obd diagnostic socket.
