Hi!

Sorry if you see many of these posts but I'm having real trouble, I've read up on how to get my serial number to then get my radio code, I've pulled forward the radio and it's showing no V or M numbers. I am pulling my hair out if anybody could help me please!

Is there any other label anywhere on the chassis of the radio?

Hi,

ibb.co/idbYCm << just the photograph in this link. Ford are going to charge me £30 to get the code for me. Anything to get some money!! Seems a bit excessive for something they probably have on file .

Apparently some Ford units can be made to show the serial number by pressing buttons 6 and 1, then releasing 6 while keeping 1 pressed. Various screens appear with the serial number the last. No idea if it works.

Hi,

It is a 2010 plate so it is the newer model Ka, I haven't disconneced the battery just yet as I didn't want to be without a radio - but no, I am not sure whether I need a code or not. I may just change the battery as planned and if it requires a code, just bite the bullet and go to Ford to sort it.

I have changed batteries on these before,and never needed to enter any radio code,so guess you will be ok.

It seems odd that Ford are prepared to take money and give a code if none exists. Mind you, it depends on how the question to them was phrased.
