Ford Focus 2010 - Replaced bulbs giving poor light - Paul baker 360
Left bulb went so bough 2 Bosch 477 h7 and replaced both at the same time but the lights are very poor, they are giving minimal coverage and weird bright scattered criss crosses on the road.
I removed 1 and put the 1 working bulb I had taken out back in and that one is fine.

Any ideas what I've done wrong?

Sounds like possibly not fitted correctly, upside down maybe, it happens a lot with lorries, times i've had to hook them out and refit.

Or, new bulbs too good a bargain?, maybe counterfeit.

You have compared the bulbs closely? both for bulb length and the locating cut outs in the bases, and the relation of the cut outs to the filaments and reflectors.

Bought them from Halfords, installed them the correct way up with the little square notch fitting in the little square housing. They look identical to the ones I had in shape and size the only difference is the old had grey tip these are more black
