Long time since I last did this, and when I did IIRC driving onto the tyre or using the heel of a bottle jack under the car worked OK.

Not any more. Just slip off.

I might have lost the knack. I suspect my old (Girling) tyre levers were better than my current ones too.

I kept the old screw-jack when I scrapped my Ford Sierra, which works a bit, though i think some curved extension plate to the foot to keep the pressure near the bead would work better.
