Any - 12v Tyre Inflators - KenC

I am looking for a 12v tyre inflator that as well as being reliable ( for a few years) has two things a) a long tyre connector hose eg 24" and b) a screw on valve connector ( instead of the quick release type that start to leak after a year or so). If anyone has a recommendation please let me know, thank you

Tried the Continental compressor which are available on EBay but had to return it as it was faulty. Then saw an analogue one in Aldi for £9.99 and it has been brilliant.
They have now replaced it with a digital version if they are still available . The hose is not as long as 24 inches but it has a screw connection.

I have one of these and have had it a good few years now, it will blow a large 4x4 tyre up from flat in less than 2 minutes, long lead and air line, screw on connector.

The only problem i had a connection came off in the switch box, simple fix.

It uses two croc clips and is meant to connect straight to the battery, it would probably blow most cigar lighter fuses if you fitted a plug of that type.

It might be available cheaper elsewhere, its the best portable inflator i've ever seen.

This time last year my footpump broke, no time to replace it as we were going away for Christmas. Law of Sod came in to play and I had a puncture due to screw in tyre. Borrowed an electric pump to see if it held enough air to get me to a garage, it didn't but the pump was excellent.

As soon as I came home I bought a Ring RAC600, £20 on Amazon. Hose is about 18 inches long, however the cable is about 5 ft, so no problem doing all four tyres once plugged in. It also has a brass screw on thread. I was nervous about the accuracy of the auto cut off, but when checked with a pen style pressure gauge it is pretty good.

Well worth the money.

.

Good compressor. There's also a single cylinder version if that's good enough [Don't know how good it is, I have the twin].

I've not found anything better than the Ring £20 on Amazon that daveyjp recommends.

I've got a Ring RAC600 - it's ok for small top-ups but overheats if putting all 4x SUV tyres up to full load pressure and can't cope with 65 psi my caravan needs. So ok for small cars I guess.

My current VW has a compressor as standard equipment because of the "collapsible spare wheel" - it inflates much quicker,. doesn't overheat and easily copes with 65psi - it has crocodile clips for direct battery attachment as it draws way more current that a 10A cigar lighter socket can provide.
