I think Peter's reply offers good advice - Pepipoo has been the main source of advice for speeding prosecutions for some time.
However, I think you are possibly going to be in trouble over the excess amount of time you believe you have been driving in the UK on a non-UK licence. You cannot withhold your licence when dealing with the speeding fine and it will immediately raise questions, unless you are very lucky.
I can't see this being a matter for imprisonment, but I've no idea how a situation like this is actually dealt with.
The fact that you have a driving test booked in the near future may help you, as you have shown an intention of complying with the regulations.
See what the folks at Pepipoo say, but if it were me I'd send off the documents requested and take it one step at a time.
