How good is Kia's 7 year warranty. I apprieciate that it will not include wear and tear items just like any other manufacturer. Anyone got any real life experience of Kia's 7 year warranty.
No direct experience of Kia but their warranty is 7 years or 100,000 miles - Hyundai (Kia's parent company) is 5 years unlimited mileage.
My experience of Hyundai is that the wear/tear time/mileage limits are documented and everything else is covered - as well as an engine/transmission rebuild my Hyundai had new tailgate gas struts, 2 replacement steering wheels, 2 immobilisers, full set of 5 new alloy wheels and a suspension balljoint.
The big variation are the dealers - the good ones take the customer's side and submit the details to Hyundai UK for approval and then get on with the work - the rest tend to stonewall and decline genuine claims.
