Hyundai i20 - Hyundai low mileage service schedule - -Kat-

I've seen an i20 with very low mileage, like 2k in 3 years, but the 1st service was not done, but the second was done, according to the selling dealer as it had such low mileage, the Hyundai dealer said 1st service not required, at the time it had 700 miles on the clock,

Is this feasible, as I can see in 12m time or whnrever they wriggling out of the warranty.

I will call Hyundai next week but just wanted others experts views

If it's a Hyundai dealer selling it get them to put it in writing that the missed service will not affect the warranty. Personally, the mileage is too low and I'd walk unless the price was right. I certainly wouldn't pay a premium for the low mileage.

Its a Renault main dealer, the price is good and the car is immaculate albiet I've not heard checked the engine

My understanding is its 12k or 12months whichever is sooner plus is unlike a main dealer to say no to money!

Many recent Hyundai's have had 20,000 miles or 2 years service intervals, with an optional interim oil change - so quite valid to have had 1st service at 2 years old.

Maybe the first owner realised, as we did, that the car was such a pile of rubbish they couldn't bring themselves to drive it!
