I note you mention Diesel Specific and i could not agree more, usually find specialist oil companies like Millers and Morris's sell their own Diesel spec oils where many brands found in accessory shops it's one type does both fuels and finding Diesel spec engine oil not so easy.

I once enquired with one of the big well known oil companies about their specific Diesel 10w40, I was told it was the same as the petrol 10w40 and only labelled up differently to reduce the amount of "is it suitable for my car questions".

If you look at the API specs they all list spark ignition and compression ignition. For older oils types they list the ACEA specs both A and B.

The last Diesel specific oil I bought was Shell helix ultra diesel and there on the label - ACEA A3/B3/B4 so suitable for petrol.

If it has the 8 valve engine with no DPF any diesel oil labled CF or higher will do. I use Comma semi synthetic about £12 from Trago Mills.
