Ford Focus - Noise after pull off - Paul baker 360
Wondering what this is. Start engine put into first pull off get into second then a clank/click/bonk what ever way to describe it would be. It comes from driver footwell, can kind off feel it through the accelerator pedal. It happens at the exact same distance from my parking spot every time. It only happens once from starting the engine, if I stop handbrake neutral ( leave engine running) and then pull off again it won't happen, but if I switch off then on and pull off it will happen again.

It's a focus 2010 23k on clock petrol 1.6 .

It's under warranty. Taking the car back after holiday as radio is having problems. So wanted to identify this problem to tell fords to sort it at the same time.

It could be the ABS self check operating - it will do this every time you re-start the car. If so, (and ours made a similar noise for the 7 years we had it) then it's nothing to worry about.

Edit - you have to exceed something like 10 mph for it to happen by the way.

Thanks for the reply.

Sounds about right from digging about online. And that's probably why it happens at about the same distance as I'm picking up speed(10mph).
