The Fiat doblo van and MPV both have a light that illuminates when the DPF is regenerating.

I think the Fiat Qubo MPV and Fiorino van does as well

Along with the light, there is an extensive section within the owners manual and additional tags around the gear stick on delivery explaining how a DPF works and what to do.

A light is at least some help, but why such a basic warning of limited use, its like some cars with a warning light for water temp.
Some of our euro 6 lorries have proper info that can be displayed on the dash indicating the precise state of play of the DPF, also regens can be manually triggered when convenient..that really would be useful for many car owners.

Personally, I would welcome that, but I suspect many drivers wouldn't have a clue what the information meant, nor how to use it ....
