My BMW makes a slight knocking noise when going over bumps. It only happens at slow speeds. I jacked up the car and shook the wheels grabbing 12 and 6 oclock then 3 and 9 oclock and no play was found. The steering also feels slightly 'wooly' when turning corners. Does this sound like the anti roll bar links?

Woolly steering on these is most commonly caused by worn bushes on the rear of the lower suspension arms.Get someone to drive the car forwards slowly while watching the front wheel to see if it moves excessively front to back on take off.
